This summer the Cultural Center at the Younes & Soraya Nazarian Library hosted fascinating meetings with two marine researchers from the Morris Kahn Marine Research Station at the University of Haifa, Dr. Aviad Scheinin and Dr. Ziv Zemah-Shamir. On 2 July 2024, Dr. Aviad Scheinin delved into his research on the world of whales. On 10 July 2024, Dr. Ziv Zemah-Shamir tried to allay humanity’s general fear of sharks. In both cases the audience expanded their knowledge on these intriguing marine creatures that inhabit our seas.
