Prof. Mor Peleg, Head of the University of Haifa Data Science Research Center is leading the “RIKMA” Project , which aims to provide access to vast government data for researchers in academia, industry, and the public sector. Its goal is to promote research and development of technological solutions for societal and economic challenges, enabling data-driven decision-making, while preserving data privacy. In Israel, there is an urgent need for an infrastructure that supports research in welfare, education, transportation, economy, and health. Continuous cooperation with users is crucial for success, and the project is expected to result in an innovative Big Data Research infrastructure for addressing future challenges.
