The first HIL SPARKS Meet-up on Impact Measurement, led by Haifa Innovation Labs (HIL), brought together a strong and diverse audience of entrepreneurs, HIL alumni, and students for an evening dedicated to impact-driven entrepreneurship.
The meet-up created an open, engaging space for meaningful discussion around one of the most pressing questions facing today’s founders: how to not only create impact, but also measure, articulate, and communicate it effectively. The high level of participation reflected the growing strength of the HIL community and its shared commitment to learning, collaboration, and real-world impact.
A key focus of the evening was the role of theory of change and logical models as practical tools for entrepreneurs. These frameworks help ventures sharpen their value proposition, align values with data, engage investors and partners, and make informed decisions throughout their growth journey.
The session featured Hilly Hirt, Head of Sustainable Finance and Development at Valop Impact Ventures, who shared practical insights into impact measurement and the intersection of values, data, and impact investing – bridging entrepreneurial vision with measurable outcomes.
HIL SPARKS was launched to foster authentic, practice-oriented meetups that connect people, knowledge, and hands-on experience from the field. The strong turnout and vibrant exchanges reinforced the sense that a committed, impact-oriented community is taking shape.
This meet-up marks the beginning of an ongoing series designed to strengthen connections across the University of Haifa’s innovation ecosystem and support entrepreneurs in turning purpose into measurable impact.
