Fires driven by climate change, human activity or conflict, are growing in frequency and intensity worldwide. Ash-Kol, led by Carmit Rapaport, Ph.D and Attorney at Law Ilan Zemler, is creating a central hub for fire risk management, combining research, technology and expertise to improve preparedness, response and community resilience.
The center integrates advanced tools like AI and geographic information systems to consolidate environmental, social and planning data, informing policy, education and actionable strategies. By connecting researchers, practitioners, governments and communities, Ash-Kol turns knowledge into practical solutions that protect lives, infrastructure and ecosystems.
